## Simple divisions without remainder

Observe closely the examples of divisions below, then answer as many questions as you want in order to train.

24 ÷ 3 = 8 because 3 × 8 = 24
18 ÷ 3 = 6 because 3 × 6 = 18
35 ÷ 5 = 7 because 5 × 7 = 35

How much is 27 ÷ 3?

## Simple divisions with remainder

When you want to calculate 13 ÷ 3, you cannot find a number such as the result of the multiplication of this number multiplied by 3 is 13. You know that 3 x 4 = 12. So you can say that 12 ÷ 3 = 4 and it remains 1. 4 is called quotient and 1 is called the remainder. To check if you have understood, give the quotient and the remainder of the division below. How much is the quotient and the remainder of the division of 28 by 5?
